The Garage Food Hall Opens at Bottleworks District January 5

Discover the best of Indianapolis' chefs and artisan craftsmen in new modern market

Bottleworks District is kicking off the new year in a big way with the official opening of The Garage Food Hall on January 5. The city’s first food hall and community-focused marketplace offers Indianapolis-area residents and travelers alike the opportunity to delight in the food and wares from local chefs and artisans in a lively, welcoming atmosphere.

Aptly named, The Garage Food Hall occupies two of the historic Coca-Cola bottling plant’s original garage buildings, just steps from the 139-key Bottleworks Hotel, which opened December 15. Akin to the hotel, The Garage sports masterfully restored Art Deco terra-cotta facades and design features that pay homage to the District’s rich history. More than 20 independently owned local and regional food vendors will take up residence in the 38,000-square-foot marketplace, offering a variety of culinary styles and flavors.

Visitors hungry for experiences can enjoy the following food, beverage and retail vendor line-up behind The Garage’s roll-up doors on January 5:

  • Azucar Morena: traditional Venezuelan fare making its debut at The Garage;

  • Abbiocco Pizzeria: pizza and pastas made fresh to order;

  • Clancy's Hamburgers: a menu with a 60’s diner feel;

  • Gaucho's Fire: a mix of flavors from different regions and cultures throughout Brazil;

  • Hard Truth Distillery: cocktail bar offering signature cocktails with a significant twist;

  • HercuLean Meal Prep: takes fast and easy meal prep to a whole new level;

  • J’s Lobster & Fish Market: signature lobster rolls and savory sides;

  • La Chinita Poblana: Asian-fusion taqueria;

  • Lick Ice Cream: imaginative ice cream flavors for a sweet treat;

  • Poke Guru: Asian-fusion twist on a Hawaiian favorite;

  • Becker Supply Co.: plants a tree for every purchase made of the clothing or personal care items;

  • Brick & Mortar Barber Shop: clean haircuts of varying styles;

  • Pumkinfish: unique gift shop of small-batch artisanal items found around the world.

Additional vendors opening in The Garage in the new year include Blue Point Oysters, Certain Feelings Coffee Co., Pakistani-Indian inspired Chapati Beta and fish and chip shop The Harbour.

The Garage Food Hall will have three spaces for pop-up restaurants with rotating offerings. Additionally, an open kitchen space within the The Garage will serve as a flexible event space for tastings, demonstrations, pop-ups and more.

“The Garage opening at the top of the new year presents countless opportunities for the exceptional list of vendors showcasing the best of Indianapolis - from food to retail to experience”
